One-Day Executive Intensive
You built your career on having the answers. What if one day could show you what to let go of instead?
A one day executive intensive from BOSS, built on the same framework behind our coaching, our certification academy, and our book: Let Go. Build Capacity. Accelerate.
- Format
- In person & virtual
- Duration
- Seven working hours. One room.
- Investment
- $3,500 per participant
The moment
There is a moment every leader in the room already knows
You ask a direct question, and everyone agrees with you. Too fast. Too easy. Nobody pushes back, nobody names the real concern. Later, in a conversation you were never part of, the truth comes out. Someone already knew the plan would not work. They just did not say it to you.
That is not alignment. That is a team that has learned it is not safe to disagree with you out loud.
Or maybe it is this. You have delegated the same task three different ways, in three different weeks, and it keeps landing back on your desk. Your team is not lazy and they are not incapable. Nobody ever taught you how to hand off a decision so it actually stays handed off.
Or this. You are the reason things move, and you are exhausted by being the reason things move. Every question routes through you. Every approval waits on you. You built a team, and somehow you are still doing the work of one.
Control. Capacity. Momentum. Three words. If you are honest, at least one of them is quietly costing you right now. More hours spent rescuing people who could rescue themselves. More decisions that never leave your inbox. More talented people who stopped bringing you their best thinking, because at some point, it stopped feeling worth it.
None of this is a character flaw. You were never taught how to fix it. You were taught how to get promoted for being the person with the answers, not for building a team that does not need you to have all of them.
That is not your fault. But fixing it, starting one day at a time, is now your responsibility.
Why trust this
Built on research and two decades of practice, not a borrowed slide deck
My name is Dr. Lawrence Henderson. Before any of this, I spent years in the United States Army, where I was awarded the Bronze Star twice, and where I learned that the leaders people actually follow into hard places are not the ones with every answer. They are the ones who built a team that trusts each other enough to move without them.
I brought that lesson into more than two decades of senior leadership, then researched it formally for my doctorate, because I wanted data, not just instinct, on what actually separates leaders whose teams trust them, communicate under pressure, and work through conflict, from leaders still carrying it all alone.
That research is the foundation of the framework this intensive is built on, the same framework behind BOSS's coaching engagements, our leadership academy, and my book, You Can't Grow If You Don't Let Go.
This is not a borrowed keynote. It is the same system we have delivered inside organizations like Pfizer, Clorox, the U.S. Navy, and USDA, condensed into a single working day.
Organization names describe past engagements and are used for identification only. They do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
The offer
Introducing the BOSS VIP Leadership Intensive
One day. Built entirely around three moves, always in this order. Not a keynote you forget by Friday. Not a binder that sits on a shelf. A working day for leaders who are done guessing and ready to see the shift in their own habits before they walk out the door.
- 01
Let Go
Diagnose exactly where your own control, your own habits, your own unspoken assumptions are the bottleneck. You will build your own Dependency Map, live, so you leave with a clear picture of what you are still holding that you should have released months ago.
- 02
Build Capacity
Install the coaching and communication disciplines that make your team capable of handling what you used to handle for them. You will practice the Four Question Coaching Cadence in real time, with real conversations, not a hypothetical case study.
- 03
Accelerate
Leave with the Decision Rights Map and the rhythms that make delegation stick after the room empties, instead of quietly drifting back to you within a month.
Who this is for
One specific kind of leader
Someone already good at the job, who knows, quietly, that good is not the same as sustainable. Someone tired of being the bottleneck, tired of rescuing people who could rescue themselves, tired of decisions that keep circling back to their desk.
If you are looking for a passive day of slides, this is not for you.
If you are ready to look at your own leadership patterns, in a small working group of peers carrying the same weight you are, and walk out with tools you use the next morning, keep reading.
The experience
What actually happens in the room
Nine to five, one day, in person or virtual. Not a lecture. A working session facilitated by our team of PhDs, MBAs, and International Coaching Federation credentialed coaches, people who have done this work inside organizations like Pfizer, Clorox, the U.S. Navy, and USDA. People who will not let you leave with a nice idea instead of a tool you actually use.
- A full day, nine to five, delivered in person or virtual
- Small working groups built into every session, never a straight lecture
- Live tool building across all three phases: the Dependency Map, the Four Question Coaching Cadence, and the Decision Rights Map
- A baseline leadership diagnostic completed before the session so the day is built around where you actually are, not a generic starting point
- A complete participant workbook to keep and use after the intensive ends
- A thirty day follow up touchpoint to check what actually stuck
Next-day tools
Every tool you build, you use the next day. Not someday. Not after a certification. The next day, in your next one on one, in your next hard conversation, in the next moment your team is waiting to see whether you will rescue them again, or finally hand them the wheel.
Our promise
In writing, before you ever say yes
- Engagement and Alignment.
- You understand exactly why this work matters, and what part is yours.
- Ownership and Accountability.
- What gets committed to in the room becomes action the following week, not another good intention that evaporates by Monday.
- Speed to Trust.
- Real conversations, and real change, should not take you three years to get to.
We do not measure success by attendance. We measure it by completion. That is the whole point.
Questions
Asked every time
I do not have a full day to give this.
Neither did anyone we have ever worked with, which is exactly why one focused day, built around tools you use immediately, beats another multi week program you never finish.
I have done leadership training before, and it did not stick.
This is not training. It is a working session, built around a diagnostic completed before you arrive, so the day is calibrated to your actual leadership gaps, not a generic agenda.
Is this virtual or in person?
Both. The intensive is delivered in person or virtual, depending on what works best for you and your organization.
Can I bring my team?
Yes. The intensive works well for an individual leader or an intact leadership team working through the same patterns together.
What happens after the day ends?
A thirty day follow up touchpoint, so the tools you build in the room get checked, not abandoned.
